Individual Therapy
Many people find therapy invaluable for coping with life's challenges. Therapy may be short-term or long-term depending on your goals and reasons for seeking counseling. Once we discuss your needs in the first few sessions, I can recommend an individualized plan for our work together.
I treat adults (18+) struggling with a wide range of issues. My specialties include:
• Anxiety • Frequent panic attacks • Grief & Loss • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders - depression, OCD, or anxiety that occurs during pregnancy or postpartum • Depression • Trauma and posttraumatic stress (PTSD) • Excessive self-criticism & perfectionism • Difficulty setting boundaries and saying "no" |

My Treatment Philosophy
You're not supposed to be perfect or have it all figured out - you're a human, not a robot! Reaching out for help during difficult times is a true sign of strength.
As a psychologist, my job is to help you identify what's keeping you stuck and help you get unstuck. How do I do that? I'll ask guided questions. Together we will explore unhelpful patterns and work towards developing healthier alternatives. I'll listen to you and provide a safe, nonjudgmental space for you to sort through tough or confusing stuff. I'll also teach you practical coping tools to deal with stress, anxiety, and overwhelm. And when talk therapy isn't enough, I use EMDR therapy, which is a highly effective treatment for a wide range of mental health symptoms. |
